On Sunday evening Aug. 3, at 6:11 p.m., the Le Mars Fire-Rescue Department was called to 16123 Hickory Avenue for a house fire. This was about 11 miles west and north of Le Mars.

More than 120 personnel from 28 different fire departments participated in a training burn of an elevator and two annexes owned by Heartland Cooperative in Minburn on Sunday, July 20.
