Greetings from new President
Greetings to All! As I write this article, we have just gotten home from Convention in Iowa Falls. Tired with a lot of things to wash, but happy. The fellowship and brotherhood/sisterhood was there to see and feel. I know I can speak for many when I say we had a fantastic time and want to thank the City and Fire Department for the time, effort and commitment it took to put on such a GREAT event.
We had our business meeting Sunday and the attendance was really good to see. The officers were moved forward and I am very humbled and honored to now serve you as President, Aaron has become 1st Vice, Kent 2nd Vice, Mike 3rd Vice, Rick 4th Vice and congratulations to Lonnie Newhall who was elected to 5th Vice. Mitchel Paxton also was a candidate for 5th Vice. Mitchel, I thank you for your desire to serve and hope to see your name on the ballot again in the future.
The Board has started to work with Legislators and again will be pushing to get our L.O.S.A.P. bill passed. To get this done we will need all of you to step up and when we make “A Call to Action” we all need to contact our Senators and Representatives and let them know what we want.Remember they are not our leaders but are our employees. They work for us! There are other items at the capitol that we are watching or working on so pay attention to the web page.
