Rescue dog

Le Mars firefighters were called on Monday, July 29, to rescue a dog stranded along the riverbank on Highway 75 North. The dog was stuck in the mud along the embankment. AC Schwarz was able to retrieve the dog and bring it to safety. The dog was taken to the police department to try to find who the owner was. Photos by Brian Nitzschke.
