Lanesboro training

On April 21, the Lanesboro Fire Department spent several hours sharpening critical skills during live LP (propane) training—a vital part of preparing for real-world emergencies. These hands-on scenarios help us safely manage highly volatile situations that can put lives, property, and our community at risk. We’d like to give a huge thank you to Riverland Fire Training for their expertise and Kruegel Gas Service for supplying the LP and helping make this training possible. Partnerships like these are what keep small departments like ours strong and ready. Why this matters: Propane incidents require specialized training and fast decision-making. Fires can double in size every 30–60 seconds. In rural communities like ours, we are the first—and often only—line of defense. Our firefighters are 100% volunteer, putting in countless hours of training each month—on top of full-time jobs and family commitments—so that when the pager goes off, we’re ready.
