Prairie fire

On March 10, O'Neill Fire as well as Atkinson and Ewing joined Bartlett and other fire departments on a prairie fire north and west of Bartlett. Chambers Fire Department was already assisting with the fire. Departments were heading to the scene in hopes of keeping the fire from jumping Highway 281.

Beresford responds to semi fire

On Monday, March 17, on I-29 at mile marker 47 a semi-tractor trailer was fully involved in fire. The fire was so intense that burning tires were exploding and flying off the rims. This was a major concern for the firefighters and to the safety of the traffic moving by the scene.

Concordia structure fire

On Thursday, Feb. 20, Concordia Fire Department (CFD) and Concordia Police Department (CPD) staff responded to a structure fire at 211 East Fifth Street in town. One resident received second-degree burns that required medical attention, while another was lost to the blaze.

Bemidji fire

A fire south of Bemidji on Thursday, Feb. 6, destroyed a home and all of its contents. No injuries were reported.

LeMars fire

On Sunday evening Aug. 3, at 6:11 p.m., the Le Mars Fire-Rescue Department was called to 16123 Hickory Avenue for a house fire. This was about 11 miles west and north of Le Mars.
