Ice Training

Firefighters from Montezuma, Deep River, New Sharon and Malcom braved cold water as they learned rescue methods in ice using up-to-date equipment and techniques that provide maximum security to both the rescuer and the victim in the water. They trained on Lake Ponderosa on Jan. 19. In the photo above, firefighters had a little fun sliding on the ice. See more photos and story inside. Photo by Dann Hayes.
